RustyBlade
Only way to be king, even in RL, is to be born to it. The man who marries a queen is prince consort. If she dies without an heir - he's out unless he takes the throne by force or perhaps a legal process, or in the case of the game, by decision of a landsmeet. In the game they don't give you the option. I also want to mention that importing a character over to DAA that doesnt have the Post Epilogue savegame, you need to select which savegame to use. There's an option for it in the onscreen menus. And yeah, having a level 1-10 toon in DAA would kinda suck. Even the new characters created for DAA have level 20+ NICE new avatar BKE!

Sebiale
Plus it is the save that you can use in Awakening or DA2I got the impression DA2 was about a completely new character with no input from DA:O or Awakening.

The BioWare people are saying that your choices in DAO will have an effect on DA2 but they are not saying what or how much or how it will import. I would be willing to bet that as the release date gets close we will hear, "sorry, we couldn't pull it off for the release - maybe with a patch..." Sebiale
It's just like Blizzard, BioWare is starting to stretch themselves out more. I think that it will be more like our decisions in DA:O will slightly affect stuff like what kind of background we're given over the course of the game, and minor influence on actual decisions. I also advise not to throw out the CD because you can make a new character and look though different view points. I assume some choices would have a bigger impact than others and it could change some conversations, but this is not ME so most choices would be background based. nezroy
Yes, you can use any save you have to make a character in AW but you may find it a bit difficult with a lv1 character. The imported character will be leveled to 18 or whatever the default starting level for Awakening is.
redneck1st
Yes, you can use any save you have to make a character in AW but you may find it a bit difficult with a lv1 character. I didn't know that you could start Awakenings with a Level 1 character. Might have to try that there sometime just out of curiosity to see if you can. Or will you have to Level him up when you start the game?
ell46
As Dan has mentioned about Anora and the epilogue, basically nothing you did in Origns carries over into Awakening a lot of people have been really dissapointed with that.
