kieranfoy
So, hello. I know, boring beginning, but the sword should make up for it. Technically I'm requestin g two seperate swords, made up of vanilla meshes and provided textures; but I'd like to have a one and two-handed version of each. FIRST VERSION: So, the first request, which will serve as a base for the second, is simple: first, take the iron claymore, and remove both the blade and the crossguard (the little arms). Then, replace the blade with the blade of the Daedric Claymore. Retexture all the metal bits to this texture: http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2724/4288197809_3b84706f7d.jpg And leave all the wood as it is. Then add this symbol on the blade near the grip (hopefully with a glowmap so it glows in the dark) : http://fc08.deviantart.net/fs26/f/2008/154/8/9/Emblem_of_Nurgle_by_DemiDead.jpg SECOND VERSION: First, take the sword you just made. Remove the pommel, and replace it with a small skull, retextured the rusted color. Then, add two likewise rusted skull to the hilt at the crosguards, faces out. From their mouths, have two of the bone claws from necromancer dungeons coming out as a new crossguard. And that's it! Thanks for reading!
zprospero
Ah, weapons are so much less of a headache than armor. I'll do this one, shouldn't take very long.
ub3rman123
Did you say expert just to lure us in?
kieranfoy
@Zprospero: Ah, mein freund, 'tis good to hear from you again! My gratitude, of course, and a good lot of it, too! @Uberman: Of course. Who else would it lure besides you two? ;)
zprospero
I embellished (just a little). What do you think?: http://i816.photobucket.com/albums/zz84/zprospero/RottingBladeOfNurgle.jpg
kieranfoy
Oh, man, that is awesome! Retexture the blade and we be in business tonight! You see this, Nexus? YOU SEE THIS??? This is GENIUS!
zprospero
Bah, just a bunch of simple tricks and nonsense. That robe that High Elf robe that Slof made, now THAT is genius. I made and icon:http://i816.photobucket.com/albums/zz84/zprospero/RotbladeIcon.jpg http://i816.photobucket.com/albums/zz84/zprospero/RotbladeInHand.jpghttp://i816.photobucket.com/albums/zz84/zprospero/RotbladeGnd.jpg What do you think? kieranfoy
Beautiful! And, fooh. Slof is a moderator; of course her stuff is genius. Your stuff, however, is genius to match, if only because you're working from a vague description rather than an exact picture. A question: Is the blade retextured? Because it still looks Daedric-colored. If it is, would, say, the Madness Claymore blade retexture better? Also Is there any way I could get a second version, with no bone claws and a small, rusted pommel orb? And the skulls up near the blade moved closer together, inward? zprospero
Ah, the simple beauty of normal maps. Yes, the blade was retextured, but I didn't change the normal map. I made the texture a little less orange too. http://i816.photobucket.com/albums/zz84/zprospero/RotBlade.jpg http://i816.photobucket.com/albums/zz84/zprospero/RotBlade1.jpg I can do the other one too. kieranfoy
Ah, that looks much better; especially in the second shot! Well done, I say, well done indeed! Thank you, so very, very much! And, did I mention I love the icon? A very nice touch.
