I get a 'file does not exist'

On a blank white page. Nothing else on it at all...

I have done or tried or changed everything that was suggested and nothing yet. Just thought I would post this as I cannot access any of the mods.

This is of course on the IP test page as per the link that was provided.

Its been a few days and after the previous members reported they are now working, noone has responded to my problem so I thought I would make an effort to ask again. Previously there was some effort to fix the other member's problems and they reported it working. I, on the other hand am still not able to access any of the Fallout Nexus sites. Any help would be great. I have used IE and Firefox to access, even changed my password and nothing is working. Like I previously posted the IPTest site comes up an error.

Thank you in advance...

every case like this that I have seen has been the result of some setting on your browser that prevents the site from being functional. most revolve around cookies. Your browser must be able to allow cookies to be set by the nexus site.

other problems have been caused by some antivirus programs or firewall settings blocking the nexus content. And still others by 3rd party programs such as ad blocking programs that have been added to your browser.

One troubleshooting technique that has helped many is the use of a portable completely bare version of a browser. these are not installed and can work from a USB stick

Try the suggestions in the spoiler below for some portable browsers to use for testing.

Thank you very much for your reply bben46. I wish I could have logged on SECONDS sooner so I could of saved you the time. Unbelieveably, the reason for the error was my date on my computer. I noriced it was a month ahead for some STRANGE reason and changing it and rebooting was enough to fix it. :teehee: Appreciate the effort to help. Anyone else running into this problem in the future should rule that out as their first step...

Now to figure out why this even happened in the first place.

Random date changes on older PC's was due to the battery for the CMOS starting to fail. This may or may not be the case for you depending on how your motherboard is setup. Another possibility is that something caused a reset of your BIOS, in which case finding out what caused this should be high on your priority list as it could cause other issues down the road.

We have gotten some reports of some ISPs blocking certain sites for some unknown reason and possibly affecting TheNexus sites. - Yes, that is pretty vague, but so are the reports we are seeing - mostly second or third hand, the type that say my friend, or my brother can't access the Nexus.

Other possibilities of this sort are:

Hosts files filters downloaded from some site

Adware blocking filter subscriptions - Adblock and other similar programs allow 3rd party subscriptions

Router firewalls or filters set to block some sites (usually blocking known ad sites)

And overzealous antivirus filters (these usually tell you when they block something)

Smut filters implemented to block porn. - Some of these can be very strict. (But... It's for the children!) I would expect this type of blocking by schools, libraries and possibly internet cafes or public terminals. (some countries do this) However, some parents can do this also by subscribing to a service.

If you know of any of this type of blocking activity please let us know.
