Mod confusion

Hello out there

 

i downloaded a copy of oblivion and i'm tryin to mod it but i've never done any sort of moding before so could someone give me step by step instructions on how to mod a downloaded copy of oblivion?

 

if anyone could help that would be great thanks

after installing the game and everything i have a oblivion folder inside i have a Data Folder (with a music folder, shaders folder, Textures folder and a video folder inside) and other stand-alone files such as

atimgpud.dll

binkw32.dll

then just the oblivionlauncher and game

Where did you purchase the download? Is it from Steam or Direct2Drive? What kind of Operating System do you have XP,Vista, or 7? This information is important to know. If you have the D2D version you can not use OBSE. You will need to install Steam differently on a Vista or 7 system.

i downloaded the game from thepiratebay so its a cracked version i am using daemon tools lite to run the program

i have windows vista operating system

 

one mod that i'm trying to get to work is a OBSE file and thats what i'm trying to get to work... Yeldarb sorry but i don't know what D2D means...

note the use of pirated games and such is illegal, and might result in your being banned for the use of them, as i saw Vagrant0 ban someone for declaring that they used a pirated version of the game, i would strongly reccomend buying the game for real, or getting the steam version of it.

Getting the Steam version is relatively cheap, even the one that comes with all of the official add-ons, and it works with all mods that I've tried. The only difficulty I've had was that I didn't read the instruction manual for OBSE for the first few installs and hadn't realized that it is installed differently for the steam version.
