experience bug

I bought Elder scroll IV - oblivion game of the year deluxe earlier today on steam and played it with the mods you get from buying it. After two hours I realised I was still lvl 1 and didn't get any experience at all

I did get lvls in acrobatic and so, but my main lvl didn't rise.

Anyone know what to do about it?

when you raise any combination of your major skills 10 times

 

you get the level-up indicator

 

 

any other leveling does not contribute to this indicator

 

so raise your major skills

Have you played the game before? You need to increase one bar of a major skill ten times to be able to level up. All skills start as a multiple of five.Set the difficulty slider to very easy and let a mudcrab attack you. Your armor skills should increase as you are attacked and if block is a major skill then block too. You just let the mudcrab attack you until you are out of restore heath potions and about to die, Kill the mudcrab and see if the level up indicator to the right of the compass is on. You should be past level one. You do need to sleep in a bed or bedroll to actually level up.
