G.e.c.k save problem

i cant save when i using geck i load the masters files and plugins i go to an npc i add somthing to his inventory from another mod to him i click the save button nothing happen and what is the active file for?

An ESP (Plugin) must be active before it can have any changes saved to it

 

also don't count on an item from one esp mod to show up in another esp mod the game is made to not let esps work together in that way.
