mobisone
Hi there, it is getting to be harder to search for a mod because of the categories. They need to add one for male mods, and female mods on tesnexus, and fallout3nexus. The sites have been getting so many mods recently that whenever I try and find armor for a male, I am forced to go and search about 30 female mods to find a mod which is just more female mods. And for other users who want female mods this would make it a lot easier for them to search for the mods that they want. It would be a much big help to the categories of Clothing, and Armor. Thanks for reading and hope to see this be a update to the sites.
LHammonds
The categories are there mainly to split the amount of files into more manageable slices of the grand total. Initially, we had Weapons and Armor which was fine in the beginning until a very large amount of the files fell into those categories. That is when we broke it up into a Weapons category and an Armor category....etc. The "Search Tags" are what you should be using to find specific content inside the mods. However, there search capability is somewhat broken apart and need to be combined into one cohesive search utility that combines category searches, tag search inclusions as well as tag search exclusions. Once this happens, we will have a VERY powerful search engine. The biggest help that can be done at this very moment though is for our users to go through the database and find mods that have not been tagged and find out what content is inside the mods and mark them appropriately....as well as keeping on top of the mods that are uploaded on a daily basis and encouraging mod authors to tag their own mods since they need not do any research to know what is in their own mod as well as being instantly tag-approved. Pushkatu
It's all about learning how to use the search system. For example try using the advanced search instead of a simple search if you're looking for a particular mod. If you know the name it's easy, if you don't and you are looking for a particular type of mods(male armour) try using words like male body, or robert becouse most male armours are using male body replacer mod and some authors name their mods "name of the armour" for robert male body, just to give you an example. Same with female armours. Authors add the name of the body replacer they use, example ranger armour HGEC or ranger armour BAB etc. And try tagging the mods you use, it will help you find them more easily in the future and also you'll help others by doing so, this if you have time of course. Cheers,Pushkatu!
