dwdionis
Got a quick question for everyone.... I originally got all of the expansions through Games for Windows, but I never liked the way they were installed (could not move steam after without reinstalling)... So, as of late, I have seen these available on Steam... I know I would pay again... But are these more "reliable" versions of the DLCs? I, for example, have issues starting FO3 with Seduction Mod on, with the expansion "Broken Steel" part of it on. I also hate having to sign in to Games for WIndows on every game start to get expansion material... So yes, would it be worth it to get just Broken Steel on Steam? Or would that cause compatibility issues with Games for Windows expansions?
Fonger
I also hate having to sign in to Games for WIndows on every game start to get expansion material...so move the content to your data file after you install it.
dwdionis
So simply moving what is inside of the "gibberish" named folders for each expansion (A Content folder, and some other files) - will keep everything functional?
urbex
Well, if you've paid for them once, it would be perfectly fine to secure more reliable versions using other means. This way you can null GFWL.
dwdionis
Maybe you could PM me with some "suggestions" ? ;) I copied over the content folder files into Data, and the game works fine. I left out all of the small files. The seduc mod DLC stuff doesn't cause a crash now either, when selecting the option in data files. In any case, the only thing that sucks now is that I still have to sign in to GFWL for the expansions to work, even after I moved files. Suggestions welcome, and thanks for your time guys.
