Here are some freebie programs, grab 'em while you can. I purchased the Video Converter from these guys for use with my HD camcorder and it turns out that if you buy just one of their programs, it is a license to use ANY of their programs and they are not shabby and thrown together...these are great pieces of software in their own right. Their video editor blows away Microsoft Video Maker in content, ability and stability and makes you wish Movie Maker was this good. Anyways, here's the freebies:

 

AVS Document Converter - Currently in BETA and free. Convert documents between various formats. Works with the text files and images without any additional graphics-, or editing software.

 

AVS Video Recorder - Transfer video from DV and VHS cams to hard drive and create home video DVDs. Capture video from WEB cameras. Encode video directly to MPEG-2 instead of native hardware uncompressed video format and save free space on your computer.

 

AVS Media Player - Watch video, play audio and view your pictures.

 

AVS Cover Editor - Design your own disc cover. Use ready templates or import images from your computer. Create different labels for optical discs and box covers, edit, print or save them for future editing.

 

AVS Antispam - Stop a flow of irritating e-mails with suspicious content. AVS Antispam analyzes and filters incoming messages and eliminates the need to sort annoying spam.

 

EDIT: Yes, I had absolutely nothing better to do. I'm upgrading a major system at work right now and have been staring at the same upgrade screen for 12 hours now...probably got at least 6 to 10 more hours to go yet!!! I was updating my software collection and noticed several of these programs with the "FREE" tag on them and thought I'd share with ya'll.

 

EDIT: Wow, 15 hours into the upgrade...oh joy. ** snooze **

 

EDIT: After 21 hours of upgrading, our systems (@ my place of work) are now upgraded and working great...what a relief!!!
