AfroJungleZ
Hello! I working with some mods and I've noticed some mods that the folders names are bad so I've decided to change their names, then I've got into the geck and changed the weapons and textures files directory Texture set -> ddsWeapon -> Model -> Nif The thing is when I'm In game it does flickering/flashing textures, I've checked everywhere but I can't see what's the problem, I've put back the original texture folder, it works again so I know it ain't about the meshes or I wouldn't even see the weapon so what did I forgot?Could anyone help me? Thanks In advance!
Ladez
That would be because the meshes have the paths to the textures set inside the files themselves. You would have to go through all the meshes and edit the texture paths in NifSkope. Texture sets in the GECK are only used when you want to override the textures that are applied in a mesh without making a copy of that mesh. But why are the folder names bad? You're not going to spend any huge amount of time looking at the folders, so why mess with the folder structure at all? If it's because you want to keep your data folder clean and organized, then try packing the assets from each mod into its own .bsa file. AfroJungleZ
Yeah, I like to have clean and organized folders, also I may try to merge some mods into 1.Thanks I'll try that. Edit: I've been trying to change the texture path with Blender and NifSkope but I don't know where to start, I've checked a few tutorials but it says something about '' BShader texture set '' but I can't even find it In the Block list/block details. ArekkusuStorm
Image Click the mesh you want to change the texture path for (there may be more than one piece.) Press the drop down button and highlight the BSSShaderTextureSet, change the path either manually or by clicking the purple spike.. thing. Just make sure you remove everything before 'textures/' if you do.
