drewsbrew
I recently bought oblivion on steam and I can't seem to get any mods to work at all. I have used NMM to mod Skyrim, and everything is working beautifully, but none of the mods for Oblivion work at all. Anyone else having this problem? LFact
Unless the mod is packed for NMM, use OBMM and/or Wrye Bash to install the mod. Oblivion is old, and many mods are packaged for manual insall or in omod(use OBMM), BAIN(Wrye Bash).
s36e175
Yeah DrewsBrew. Same for me. Even if I don't load any mods, Oblivion will not launch from NMM. Application load error 5:0000065434.However, I have just realised that even though I can't launch from NMM, if I activate the mod with NMM, then launch normally from steam, it all works.I worked this out from a tip that came up when I was trying OBMM as well. bben46
Most Oblivion mods will work fine with NMM. Some have special install parameters that will not work with NMM. However, Oblivion was made long before NMM came out - and the mods were not made with NMM in mind. In fact, many Oblivion mods were made before any mod manager at all was available and the author expected you to install them manually. Please read the documentation for the mod to see how the author says to install. If I remember, that error means you need to start steam first, minimize it, then launch the game with NMM.
