elaskin
Omg I feel like I'm being annoying asking this, but to me this is pretty complex. Dunno if this is the right place to post this, but anyway. I am having problems with meshes. And not just meshes, my entire meshes folder. I reinstalled Oblivion a couple of weeks ago and when I went to install a mod, my meshes folder was missing! This in itself is pretty common, but my problem goes a little further. Me, being the usual me, went and did some research only to find my mesh folder and all (my textures, sounds, etc. folders were still working, just my meshes) were .bsa files. Downloaded BSA Commander, opened up my .bsa folder, and it was all written... in notepad! I need a meshes folder to put all my mod mesh files in, so I make one but it's not a valid folder, to the computer it's just some folder called Meshes. This is pretty much my last resort, to ask here. I could've messed up badly, or be on the right path. I don't know. If anyone could help I'd really appreciate it :). LHammonds
When you install Oblivion, it does not create "Meshes", "Textures" and "Sounds" sub-folders under Oblivion's Data folder. If you install the latest official patch, it does create the "Textures" folder so it can place a terrain texture fix there but never creates the "Meshes" folder. You have to do that yourself. If you install any mods, they will most-likely create them as well if installed correctly (and contains new meshes/textures). You might want to read these articles: How To Install Oblivion with PatchesHow To Extract Files Using BSA CommanderOblivion Mods FAQ If folders that you know exist disappear, it is a good possibility you have clicky-finger syndrome. Clicking on a folder and slightly moving the mouse at the same time when you are trying to double-click might actually perform a click-n-drag event to move your folder underneath another folder. If this happens and you notice it, simply press CTRL + Z to undo the last thing you did. Or look around in nearby folders to see if the folder was moved there.
