The Uderfrykte Matron Of Dive Rock

Is it just me, or is there something just a little off about the Uderfrykte matron, otherwise known as the beast of Dive Rock. In Agnar's journal he writes that he and Svenja sighted the creature and made pursuit.

I find that a bit odd because when I went after the creature myself, the Uderfrykte matron looked like— nothing.

The damned thing was invisible. And I don't mean the "got caught in a wizard's Spell of Invisibility"-kind of invisible. More like "Bethesda forgot one line of code to render the creature's model, thus giving it no visible form"-invisible.

Case in point, there was no 'shimmer' effect which you get even with an invisible enemy. Furthermore, the Uderfrykte matron remained invisible after death. Typically, an invisibility or chameleon effect is removed after the user is killed.

By all appearances, this is a bug rather than a feature.

Has anyone who's cracked open the program found the skin files for a blue or white troll? If it's there, then it would seem that the Uderfrykte matron was intended to be seen and something got fudged.

Or is the problem on my end, and everbody else in the world has actually seen the Uderfrykte and wonders just what the heck am I ranting about?

I'm left to wonder then, what conditions bring about this bug (for I am convinced, by the aforementioned aberrations from the typical invisibility/chameleon effect, that it is a bug).

I'm playing the stock version of the game: no mods, no upgrades, nada. The character I encountered this with was in his mid-teens about 1/3 of the way through all the Guild quests while having progressed very little in the Main (Marty is still loitering in the campsite below Kvatch). Had to get up to Dive Rock the hard way: digging into the cusps between slope faces for that tiny little toe-hold that brought me up a few more feet at a time. Picked up the update to my map when I moved out to the tip of Dive Rock (though, in my search for Dive Rock in the first place, I'd already found every single one of those same locations). Read and kept Agnar's journal, and the Matron was right there in the area with Agnar.

The invisibility, I could handle. I was using an enchanted sword, and from the fuming from my first connected blow I could see where the creature was standing and press home my attacks. But it was a good thing I looted it as soon as it fell, because I was unable to relocate the invisible corpse when I checked up on Agnar (I managed to pull Svenja out of its gullet, though the girl's better days are definitely behind her!).

It's not a bug, the creature is a troll with a script, a pms one and a setactorrefraction one...

And Morrowinds 2nd Expansion: Bloodmoon it was called Udyrfrykte

In Danish Udyr means beast, and frykte, I think it's fear in Norwegian...
