trog2006
I loved Morrowind, it immersed me in a world I could really get my teeth into...then just as things were starting to get tedious they unload Oblivion onto me :P So here I am, piffling around with the construction set after having downloaded about a dozen mods, then it hit me! I've got my own imagination!!! I'd love to create all of the following...for now I'm going to start with the tree....not a village though, just one treehouse. 1) Have a house fall out of the sky.2) Add an AI setup where some monsters may ask you "Please don't hit me again." then wander off if you leave them alone, and cower if you encounter them again.3) Create a tree village...(I may do this one first)4) Have it so you can employ builders to build you a new house...the process should take a couple of in-game weeks.5) Improve the in-game waterfalls so they have more density and the light reflects better. So there's my wish list...it's a start, read it, smile, ignore it, or help me out. Suggestions are welcome, but as I write this I'm already thinking of the tree village :) [edited 24/06/06]
cactoblasta
I'm guessing you're a modeller if you want to create a tree village, so that'll probably be the easiest thing for you to do. It may be smart though to start with some simple models - like a sword or brick or something - and see how you go importing it into the game first. There's an Oblivion modding wiki around somewhere, so google will be your friend in finding guides. Oh, and this should probably have been posted in the oblivion modding section. trog2006
Thank you...oh, and I'd say that my first effort at an Oblivion Mod is about half way there...anyone want a treehouse? :)
trog2006
Just for a tease, here's how it's going. I've had to do some tweaking to get the house to sit right...but there's plenty of tweaking left in it :P
GBHis
Just for a tease, here's how it's going. I've had to do some tweaking to get the house to sit right...but there's plenty of tweaking left in it :P Simply AWESOME!Could you send me the model (with textures, please)? Been having the same idea, but I'm not that good at modelling...
sleaaels
Nice tree house, if your tree house has ample display areas, (not too many display cases, its sooooo fiddlely and items shift inside them after a while). plus eye candy i think it looks like a promising mod:)
cactoblasta
I have to say that your effort was a lot better than I expected. That treehouse looks good! Good luck with the rest of your efforts.
trog2006
Thanks peeps, I've found that since introducing myself to the TESCS about 2 weeks ago I'm learning more about the CS than about the game plot lol...My char is only up to level 4 :P and I couldn't resist finding out what made it all tick. The treehouse mod is set to include the following:1) The house itself2) The ridiculously long staircase up to the house.3) A balcony area which looks out over Bravil.4) A background story.5) Absolutely no cheat crates or chests...this will be an empty house cluttered only with furniture for you to put your own stuff in. With exception to a telekinesis wand to help you organise your displayed items.6) A rather unusual cellar. What I'd like to include...but I'll need to learn more about the TESCS and scripting:7) An evil/good switch where the interior is different depending on your character alignment.8) My own tree...the in-game ones have collision problems if you fall off the staircase (At the moment I'm fixing that by including collision blocks, messy, but practical). Also the texture is really grainy close up and the mesh is low poly.9) A painting of my webcomic character (I reserve the right to plug my own stuff :D) Again my thanks...oh, and the entire mod uses only the standard models(at the moment)...so you'll only need the esp which I'll make available in a week or two. It'll be called 'Trescoulle house v1.1.esp'. About a week will be spent bug fixing.
