ziitch
NOTE: If you support this mod, make it known! Keeping this afloat may catch the eye of someone who can turn this into a reality! (Yeah, I kinda stole kieranfoy's line...) First off, yes I know about Fashion Anvil, but it's a bit clunky, it requires its own Data folder to add items, and overall it hasn't aged well. Now, what I'm suggesting is rather simple for the plugin part, but it's some scripting and the application that I'll need to have someone else to do. The basic idea is this - in a room accessible by testinghall, there's a lot of chests inside. We're talking about, oh, about 250 of them, maybe more, all empty...if you run the plugin as is. That's where the application comes into play. The application is a specialized merge program - Not like TESGecko's, where it simply merges everything not in the Oblivion esm into one plugin, but instead, several prompts come up during the process, such as asking if you want to import the original container, keep the original locations for items, move the original container's contents or the loose items into one of the chests, import enchantments for items or remove them, and of course choosing which container you want to put the armor and weapon contents in and if you want to name them for better identification. There's much more to it, but I'll get to it later on. Oh, and of course, the chests aren't just accessible by that room, you also get a spell that, when cast, lists all the chests in that room and opens the one that you choose. I will admit though, it's something long, long overdue and it would definitely free up a lot of load list slots for people; it'd also clean up all those containers that are everywhere in several places, like the IC Market District.
