newbie questions and possible ideas

Hello everyone. im new here but i've donloaded many things already and i need some help please

 

Among them there is the character creator.... actually i was thinking of "refacing"a NPC (Leliana actually, the created one looks almost exatcly like the one from the trailer) so i created my character and saved it as a .chr

 

The problem is i dont know what to do next, because it says i can turn that into a .mop or put it in a savegame, buy y dont want to do that, the savegame doesnt work for all the profiles at once and the .mop doesnt seem to do anything.

 

I dont want to use the toolset either, found it a litlle difficult.

 

So is there any way to put the character appearance into a .mor file to make it working?

 

I know there are many mods that do that already, just wanted to make my own...

 

 

And another question: is there any good shapeshifter mod out there?

something like for example:

Making the forms add bonuses to the character like for instance, as a spider you gain a medium bonus to attack and damage, a good one to evasion and a medium to armor.

As a bear, a massive bonus to armor and another goood one to damage

And finally as a swarm just a massive bonus to evasion

 

Alright that's all for now. as im new here i don know if it can be done so i'wd appreciate any good answer

Update... although nobody answered yet =(

 

I finally learned how to use the toolset for that thakfully so the first thing is solved =D

 

Still looking for a good shapeshift mod though

Shapeshifting never got the love it deserved. I think the swarm choice was a bit of a cop out and all the specialisations were too bland. Need more options and abilities for them all, but Shapeshifting especially. The only mods out there that expand SS are usually only effective on the main character which kinda leaves Morrigan out in the cold. Pity as it could have been really powerful to be a SS rather than respec her to Arcane Warrior/Blood Mage combo that is the common trend.

totally agreed

 

i think if there was a way to improve the stats when using the skills it could be a really good specialization...

 

that way whenever you use the spider form, for example, you could be as lethal as a well trained rogue or when using the bear form as a heavy armored tank warrior

 

anyway if i knew how to do this i swear i would but i have no idea how do you change or create a skill, although i know its possible because of the mods ive seen around such as extra specializations and modifications on other skills like fireball and drain life.

Might see what I can do regarding SS as I really want to keep Morrigan as a SS/Bloodmage.

 

There are a few forms that are set for SS, and most aren't. Going to see why that is, and whether I can add forms. If I do I'll ditch the Swarm, and probably Spider. Go with Wolf, Bear and Drake. With upgraded versions of each available, and certain spells usable in each form that match it's fighting patterns.

Man your idea sounds good although ive grown fond of the spider form because it kind of combines with morrigan's character

 

Anyway i put in in the mod request and i got a direction for one that comes pretty close; actually, it increases the efectiveness of all forms and give a final dragon form in the final slot.

Negative aspects is that some skills are not there ,and the bear form is just a tank to take damage but doesnt cause it very much, they say its because nobody wants it to be better than spider but i believe spider is a lot faster than bear so it compensates.

 

If you decide to make a better one (i like the wolf idea very much) please dont take the spider away .... maybe place it as a single skill leading to none other or something like it iw'd find that the best SS mod ever!!

There is always the Possibility to have 4 forms rather than 3. Can keep the Spider, and when upgrade to Master SS you get the Drake Form allowing you to have Spider as first form again. Though I would probably move it to second and have Wolf as first.
