I am having a problem downloading several Mods to help Oblivion run better.

- The Unofficial Oblivion Patch

- The Unofficial Shivering Isles patch

- The Unofficial Mods Patch

I need these patches to be able to play Oblivion again, problem is when I go to download them an window pops up telling me to pick a download server for normal members, I picked the Maidenhead (UK) server as it is the closest one to where I live (Germany). The page then stops loading halfway telling me it couldnt connect = no download.

Could anyone help me, I really need these mods.

Another thing I would like help with would be OBSE could someone give me a quick runthrough of how it is to be used etc.

I have never been able to download from the Maidenhead server, and I live in England!! Just choose one of the US servers.

OBSE is a script extender. All you need to do is, once it is installed, just run your game via the OBSE Loader.

OBSE is only complicated if you want to get into the technical side of it. In operation, it is invisible. Like I said, you only need to start your game from the OBSE loader. If you haven't figured out how to install it, you simply have to download the zip file and extract obse_loader_exe and the three .dll files to your /Oblivion/ folder (note: NOT the usual Data folder, but the main folder where Oblvion.exe and OblivionLoader.exe resides). You can then create a shortcut to obse_loader.exe wherever you normally keep your shortcuts. Remember to run the game from the new shortcut.

How do I run mods that require OBSE ?

Like I said, you just make sure you run the game via the OBSE loader. That is ALL that is necessary.

Yes, that's it. All that OBSE does is to inject extra scripts and functions into the game. The mods are then able to use these new functions and scripts. Simple, eh? :)

I have installed OSR, but am still expieriencing a lot of stutter (more than before) any idea what I can do against it?

OSR makes some assumptions, so you should check out the requirements and settings -- see OSR for more details.

You could also try some of the tweaks at TweakGuides -- I STRONGLY suggest you back up your ini files before editing them!
