Badmagic
I'll try to keep this concise. If you play Dwarf noble you lose your inventory during the origin, in a 100% vanilla game it's no big deal, however, as this also gubbs DLC gear and mod items it's an asinine design flaw pain in the backside. Pre patches you could simply save the game, deactivate the DLC or mods, force load, clean save then re-activate and all would be well. Bioware claimed to fix it, they didn't and to top it off broke the deactivate/reactivate method. Can someone, anyone that knows what they are doing look into editing the relevant plot script to NOT remove gear near the end of the Dwarf noble origin to fix this once and for all, there may well be a better solution but I figure since that one check/item removal event in the script is the cause of the entire issue it may be the simplest solution. P.S. Some claim starting the Origin with the items either not installed nor activated then only activating post origin works, while appreciated it only works for some DLC's and some mods, its not a working (nor workable with larger mod lists) solution. JackM
You will find a solution to your issue here: http://social.bioware.com/forum/1/topic/58/index/3248564. The issue described in this thread is not the same but the result is identical (BD plate removed from inventory) and the fix suggested should work. JackM
In the .zip of the AddItem Script mod, you will find an Item List.txt that contains the code for all the items available in DA:O, DA:O Awakening and DLCs (look at the description of this mod on Dragon Age nexus for the complete list of supported items). Of course, the appropriate DLC must be installed and authorized to have access to the items it contains.
Kaerar
Simple solution is to either use the Contraband mod or deactivate before starting a Dwarf Noble. I know it's not ideal, but until a proper fix comes out, it'll still happen.
