Vagrant0
Please, tell me you used an inventory editor to get that much lava. Unless you happen to have a standing pool of lava sitting nearby or something. It's not that much really, I have a flow on top that flows down the outside and curves in. There's lots of lava deep down. Only took about 36 buckets full. A minecart track that leads down and back up also helps.
Pyrosocial
if Notch fixes the physics then woulden't it all pour off the side?
ub3rman123
Yeah, but that'd only make it look more awesome. I mean, it looks like it's hard to get lost from that thing now, imagine a huge orange glowing mountain. I started playing around with some of the mechanics. Redstone wires are fun, but minecarts are seriously boring. I mean, they can only go up a one-by-one tile each move, move very slowly, and it's hard to coordinate multiple engine carts to go in the same direction, as they all start speeding off on their own. Pyrosocial
true but mine carts are usefull. you could build a track with you really far down into the mine and push a inventory cart along so you will have near infinte gear and when your alldone put a couple powered ones and ride back to base. As for them being un controllable i think notch should have a way to make the mgo forward, backwords, and stop while rding it.
ub3rman123
That would be beneficial. Many a time have I had to give up a diamond node due to my pickaxes being broken. But still, it seems like a bigger waste of precious iron than just making more pickaxes.
katashy
Mine carts are only usefull for getting yourself from A to B, they're not very good for co-ordination and transport of items. On another note, here's my epic zombie zoo: http://i876.photobucket.com/albums/ab322/katashy/javaw2010-08-1319-11-12-29.jpg
ub3rman123
Can monsters get through walls? Would it be possible with a creeper spawner? That'd be awesome. By the way, is there a non-bow method to killing creepers? Them nuking themselves just destroys the loot.
Vagrant0
Mine carts are only usefull for getting yourself from A to B, they're not very good for co-ordination and transport of items. With powered carts... yeah... With boosters, and a redstone switch setup, it's a different story. As for creepers, the key seems to be in hitting them, backing off a bit, and hitting them again. Let them come to you. *edit*Uploaded a test video... Quality is still a bit low in spots. Suggestions are appreciated. Pyrosocial
nice job, you didn't put any commentary in it of anykind?
katashy
Nice video. The quality is good, although there were a few laggy parts (Might have been me). Commentary would be cool. You could do a Let's Play video for Minecraft. ------ The secret update added: FENCES!!!
