The CS doesnt show KOTN

shows the SI creatures weapons etc.. but not the KOTN ones. Any ideas?

While SI intergrates inself into Oblivion.esm, KoTN and other DLCs are present as separate plugins, like user-made mods. Search for Knights.esp(or something) at \Data.

Did you select the KoTN plugin? The SI creatures are defined in the Oblivion.esm, so, of course, they are loaded...

Yea I tried just using the knights esp but it wont let me select it as the active file. so all the content I put into oblivion from kotn doesn't come up. and when i just select kotn as the active file and save the things i added to oblivion it says that the esp is not valid.

Try reinstalling KotN. Maybe the install did not work out... If you are using Win7 or Vista, maybe you should read this - http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Oblivion:Official_Plug-ins#Installation_Issues

 

Are you using the GOTY edition?

You do not need to turn it into an ESM in order to edit it unless you are making a plugin dependent upon it. No one can send you those files (legally.)

 

Install TES4Gecko - http://tesivpositive.animolious.com/?page=tes4gecko <-- It will allow you to convert KotN to an ESM, temporarily (be sure to convert back to an ESP!!!)

Install TES4Gecko - http://tesivpositive.animolious.com/?page=tes4gecko <-- It will allow you to convert KotN to an ESM, temporarily (be sure to convert back to an ESP!!!)

 

 

Thanks a lot for your help. Ill try it out and hopefully it works for me. And I didn't know that was illegal thanks for the info.

btw the webpage says that its coming eventually. EDIT nvm ill download it off of this site.

When I try to convert the file the following error comes up - java.io.file not found exception C:/Program Files/Bethesda Soft works/Oblivion/Data/Knights.esm(access is denied)

then when I click okay it says not able to convert knights.esp
