Tranqulizer Rifle

I'm looking for a scoped rifle with a long K.O effect for non-lethal takedowns. I think many of the vanilla guns would provide a good foundation to work from, particularly the varmint rifle. The BB gun, hunting & single shotguns could also work well, but like I said, I'd prefer something scoped. I'm sure one could be added to those weapons, but the varmint rifle already has a scope made for it, so I guess that would be easier?

It would be really cool if the sound could be replaced with that of the dart gun, as it wouldn't make much sense for it to have a loud bang. It could fire darts, but instead of the vanilla effect of crippling legs, it would do fatigue damage like the boxing gloves, but more potent and no (or very little) HP damage. It should be accurate/have low spread.

If you wanted to go in to a bit more detail you could add some 'spare' darts to the side of the gun or on the stock, they don't have to be functional, just a cosmetic detail to make it stand out from the regular varmint rifle. Any other little things like that you can think of would be greatly appreciated.

You could make the ammo craftable e.g. 1 empty syringe, 1 scrap metal, 2 med-x or something (I know it's not the most logical, but as far as I'm aware there are no chems or poisons that cause unconciousness, and I'm sure a minor morphine overdose would do the trick!).

Thanks for reading.

You dont need a rifle, you need a 5.56 tranquilizer ammunition.

Rifles already exist. The ammunition should be put on 5.56 ammo list, so all 5.56 weapons can use it.

I know, there exists a 22LR tranquilizer recipe already. But I dont remember any scoped sniper gun for 22LR.

The gun you are searching, should not have any critical chance bonuses/multipiers, as they still are calculcated outside of regular damage. I know this as author of Deathwind. Despite adding 3x0.01 damage reduction mod, it can still hurt people by a lot.
