Oblivion Expansion?

My preference:

*Video showing last scene of Oblivion*

*Video suddenly cuts off with a slamming book cover blocking out the picture*

"Well that was an awful waste of paper..."

*Switch POV to your Morrowind character standing on the top deck of a ship. He turns and flings the book over the side.*

*Switch POV to the book floating in the water. The title Oblivion is clearly visible*

*Switch POV to the character again. The camera follows his gaze to the land in the distance. Suddenly the clouds part, revealing the towers of the imperial city.*

*Begin title screen*

The "expansion" will be a complete replacement of Oblivion's pathetic story. The game will focus on the chaos surrounding the recent death of the Emperor, events vaguely refered to in Morrowind. The story will revolve around the player's actions and choices, he will NOT be merely a supporting character to an NPC hero.

Also included will be a complete redo of most of the game, to transform it into a true PC rpg and remove the awful xbox elements. Things like a deeper combat system, more weapons, less hand-holding from the quest system, etc, will all be included.

Got a work-in-progress site? Sounds cool!

Showing your *morrowind* character? An extension for morrowind?

Well, it would be cool if there could be an expansion pack where you go to Ka-Po-Tung or wherever the Tsaesci come from, and Tamriel and Akavir are at peace, and become Takravier or something, and you have to take a boat from Anvil, or one where you go to Summerset Isle and have to take a boat from Artaeum. Or, it would be cool if it had the whole of morrowind, so you could go back to morrowind and relive the days of the reincarnate. And, you could go to all the cities on mainland Morrowind. It'd also be cool if they had something where you go on a mission to Elsweyr, or Hammerfel, or perhaps Black Marsh. There isn't anywhere else in the actual province of Cyrodiil to go to, because Everywhere in Cyrodiil is in Oblivion. The things at www.obliviondownloads.com are to short to be considered expansion packs, like Mehrunes Razor. That was short. The others were very short. Frostcrag Spire is more practical to store your stuff at, though. If they do have one that's in Morrowind, they should have everything that was in morrowind, like the weapons and armor and ingredients. Make the stones ingredients! Diamonds were my favorite ingredient in alchemy. If they have one to Akavir, or a part of Takravier, as I suggest, they should have more types of Akaviri stuff. Like something, since Akavir and Tamriel Would be at peace, let you play as a Tsaesci, and have some more insults Valen Dreth can think of for Akaviri. The boat dock would be on Artaeum or somewhere else in the Summerset Isle. That'd be cool.

Whoa slow down there. The reason they don't expand out into whole new provinces is that it would require the effort of making another game, and the fact that they tried having multiple provinces in arena and everything seemed too samey( towns looked the same, npcs became too generic etc..)

Or mabye they teleport you to somewhere in Akavir? Or mabye send you on a mission to Vvardenfell to persuade King Helseth not from seceeding (spelled wrong?) from the empire, while he's staying in Ebonheart or Vivec or somewhere. That wouldn't be concidered a new game because Vvardenfell was where Morrowind took place. Oh, and bring back levitation and all the other armors and weapons to, except steel and iron and all the armor that was in Oblivion? The Akavir idea I like, though, because it's not a province.

Whatever it is, i do hope there is an expansion to Oblivion, and perhaps use the surrounding areas like Black Marsh, Hammerfell etc...

I think it would be a damn shame if Oblivion ends without any expansions.

I reckon the empiire should fall apart, making nations fight each other. it should be set in elswer and valenwood, where the khajiit and wood elves could wage war on another, like in a book i read in the game(cant remember the name). the acrobatics skill could be used in a fun way here cause as mentioned in that book both races were known to jump from tree to tree. there's only one problem with setting it in elswer which the fact there are more than one species of khajiit, ranging from small cat-like animals to almost elven looking(as i read in some book from morrowind). i also think the beast races should be able to claw, not punch, when fighting with fists like they could in morrowind. i'm also in favour of mounted combat.

bring back spears and thrown weapons!!!
