"If you want to slash limbs of and not hit someone 30 times you bought the wrong game. Get the newest prince of persia then."

reply:

It would be nice if the developers could encorporate elements from both games i.e the open-ended, free roaming of Morrowind(oblivion doesnt deserve recognition) where you cruise around looting caves and taking random quests or missions, as well as those from...well other games-i have never played the newer P of Ps, just the original. But anyway, i don't even think there has been a game that has sufficiently fulfilled my desire for blood and dismemberment, especially one with graphics of half-life 2 and physics of Oblivion. Who does Bethesda think they are? The hitting someone 1000 times until they die thing worked in Morrowind because it was just such a great RPG. But now in Oblivion they incorporate action elements into combat (blocking, gay moves you hardly wish you had wasted all that time playing the game to get) and give us new stuff like awesome physics and nice graphics-all that just to tease us with the fact we cant put them to proper use! So much more satisfying to play would be Oblivion if you could mutilate your enemies!

There is an awsome looking game coming out this fall called Dark Messiah of Might and Magic, it uses the half-life 2 engine and physics and its first person like in oblivion...and the combat is 10 times better (you can hack off limbs, slce throats, kick people, etc) and not only that....its free online with up to 32 people in one game!!!!!!!

I'm tempted to go off subject, but ill spare all of you. When i saw one of the promo pics of a charging rider wielding a sword, i thought it would mean the game would have that.

Knights in medival times mostly got off their horses to battle once they hit the frontlines, contrary to popular belief, yeah i watch the documentary channels (hangs his head in shame).

The Roman Calvary stayed on their horses, as they were armed with longer versions of the sword carried by foot soldiers (I guess they were not encumbered by platemail so were more manuverable?).

I would love the ability to ride and fight, its too bad it will never happen

That makes sense. I heard the same thing about the knights...

Hmm...maybe...blast. How are they going to use existing animations for horseback combat? I can understand it from 1st person, but I don't think it would work if you were in third person. Hmm...also, would you do more damage if the horse was moving? That would be cool. By the way, this is directed at whoever runs or knows about that mod. :)

I cant see it being too hard to make a spear class weapon, only things i doubt i could do is make the "Thrust" animation and the actual graphix. Also Polearm Class weapons are in my thoughts

I also think i could make tele mods so we could kill people with our minds. falling rocks are strange in oblivion but i know there is a way so we could use telekenesis on small rocks/weapons/items/Furnature/logs ect ect.

This game almost endless in possibility so dont rule anything out :)

I'm also sick of Spades, what are they for if its not for digging, same as pick axes. Grrr!

I'm trying to make traps at the minute so if anyone's got good advice or ideas then send em to

He's talking about me! I'm famous! Hurray! :)

The jump animation will be my base. Your knees are *bowed*, you have your head *bowed* down and your hands are streched.

In the best case, I will be able to manipulate the horse-riding into NOT sheating your weapons while playing the animation for horse-riding.

In the worst case scenario, I would have a script attaching the horse under you. (While you are actually flying at a fixed distance of ground... This probably won't work with the "rideable dogs"-mod [great mod, looking forwards to the tutorials] or the horse gravity ini-setting...

* I can't remember how to say that damned word!
