buddah Posted August 5, 2010 Posted August 5, 2010 While this link says vista, it also applies to installing on windows7. http://www.tesnexus....icle.php?id=262 read ben's article it might give you a clue as to things to try. When you launch the game does it immediately crash out, ot do you get a screen first? If you get an error message what does it say exactly, it may give us a clue what is causing this. Not the best with laptos, I am a desktop fan....I like lots of power to do things as my specs reflect. This rig was a custom build got it on april 20th. Love it BTW.
Neveras333 Posted August 5, 2010 Author Posted August 5, 2010 I said when I hit "New Game" and hit "Yes" it begins to load, then about 1 or 2 seconds of loading it crashes, saying Fallout 3 has stopped working. I have used laptops with a lot of online games, don't know why F3 has given me these problems. I just spent so much on this and now I think I've screwed up my laptop, I don't know if I'm pissed or sad right now.... I'm not rich for custom, I'm only a Senior in Grad school
buddah Posted August 5, 2010 Posted August 5, 2010 Like I said I am not that familiar with laptops and their hardware, so let this sit here for a while, perhaps some more intimately involved with laptops will have an answer. I am guessing, but I don't think your chipset will support the game; but i could be and probably am wrong on that assumption. It may be something else entirely. Buddah
Neveras333 Posted August 5, 2010 Author Posted August 5, 2010 Fallout 3 is not compatible with "Mobile Intel® 4 Series Express Chipset Family" (Cries)
Theonewhoisodd Posted August 5, 2010 Posted August 5, 2010 Yeah Neveras that's the problem... I ran into it with my old laptop. There are a few options such as using a friend or family members computer, or purchasing a new one... Sorry mate
