suparella
I've spent all day reinstalling Oblivion, carefully selecting which mods I want to continue using and setting up special folder structures and data folder backups to make my life in the construction set easier (I've got a lot more ambition than know-how right now). I also want to restart and leave my three level 30ish characters behind, and I would love to try out Oscuro's Oblivion Overhaul.... Except I can't find a download link for it  The OOO page at tesnexus.com sends me to either Planet Elder Scrolls or some other page with a broken link, and the OOO quickstart guide at http://devnull.sweetdanger.net/OOO/ also links to FilePlanet, which yields an error instead of a download... Planet Elder Scrolls wants me to pay a monthly fee to download things, which is right out of the question... I've been at this all day, I'm tired and frustrated and was looking forward to playing Oblivion before bed :( Can anyone please offer advice for finding a download of a complete OOO 1.33 without needing a credit card? suparella
Planet Elder Scrolls is free: http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=Authentication.Login I registered, but it's still redirecting me to a FilePlanet page that wants me to pay money. Am I doing something wrong?

Am I doing something wrong? Okay... I guess I'm a bit special. You can register a free account and still download, I just was only seeing their big flashy "pay us money" banner :pinch: Thanks for helping out, Floydian :)
bben46
Yah, PES kind of hides the free download hoping the suckers will miss it and pay them for something they can get for free. Bethsoft forbids charging for mods. PES gets away with it by charging a membership fee to use their faster servers and also by crippling the free downloads. If you haven't found the free downloads yet, scroll down and look between the advertisements. TesNexus also has a fee for the higher speed (and more expensive for us) servers. A big site is expensive to operate and we, as well as PES, need to get the cash somehow. So we have Premium membership which allows use of special higher speed servers and no advertising. But we don't try to hide the free downloads and do not cripple them with a delay.
