-second i want the war mage amulet to also improve bloodmagic and maybe add some spellpower

-third i want to have a ring to protect agains spells, like the spellward but you know... a ring

-fourth i wanted to remake andruils blessing to add 3 points to everything grant a good chance to evade and add an armor bonus

-fifth another ring wich works similar to the key of the city but looking like a ring

But i've no idea how can i do this

For editing the items IN game, the solution is The Winter Forge mod by Phaenen. http://www.dragonagenexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=122

it will allow you to custom create new items, edit the properties of existing items, remove properties, all kinds of stuff.

1) You can recreate a new sword using the oathkeeper type longsword (orlesian style longsword, I believe) and give it the same stats that starfang has (tho it will not have the glowy runes). If you want one that has the runes, you're gonna need to learn how to use the toolset, how to do texture editing, and how to make those work IN the toolset. Lotta learning curve there!)

2) strip it of it's properties and then add the changes that you want, in winter forge.

3)create a new ring on the winter forge and give it these properties

4) same as 3)

5) same as 3)

I could do that but its not exactly what i was looking for... actually i was asking for a way to make this permanent every time i change character or whatever... just like a mod itself, like all those improved changed or new swords staffs and armors out there..

Sounds like this whole thread could benefit from a move to: "New Weapon Models You'd Like to See", at http://www.thenexusforums.com/index.php?/topic/167767-new-weapon-models-youd-like-to-see-in-game/

Might get someone interested in taking on the project.

Ahhhh ok, now I see what you're asking for. ;)

Well, first your gonna need the dragon age toolset, and some tutorials to teach you what you need to know. Creating the items themselves, are the easy part. Getting them into the game tho... thats where it gets........ interesting.

http://dragonagemodding.wordpress.com/2009/11/11/a-start-creating-a-module-to-give-your-player-an-item/

http://social.bioware.com/wiki/datoolset/index.php/Item_tutorial

to download the toolset, just do a search in google/yahoo/whatever for bioware.com toolset and that should lead you where you need to go. IF you have troubles getting it directly from bioware, try searching for fileplanet dragon age toolset and that will get ya rolling. (tho you need a free membership to DL from fileplanet). Fileplanet is an authorized distributor, so their DL's are Legal, AND Safe.

The third thing your going to need is some LUCK, as there's about 35% of the users that try to use toolset that Can't get it to run on their system. :(

--OR--

Once you've got the toolset installed, run it. Then go to computer, the location of your documents folder, (which varies by operating system) then documents/bioware/dragon age/addins. In there, you will find some folders that start out with the names DAO_PRC. These are DLC installation files. Now, I'm not sure which of these folders are for which of the DLC items that you are wanting to mod, as I dont HAVE the dlc for some of them that you're wanting to do.

I can however, tell you that some of the DLC files are Locked by an encryption. So you have to have a password to get them open, and BioWare doesnt share that. So items like Starfang you won't be able to use this method on. (You'll have to create a new module, and a new item, and the script that puts it into the players inventory, wich the first link tells you how to do) But most of the other ones you SHOULD be able to do.

Ok, once you've got the addins folder open, open up one of those DAO_PRC folders. Inside you'll see a folder named Core, and inside it... a folder named Data.

Inside "data" is what you want. designeritems.erf Drag and drop that into the toolset. Or double click it and when windows asks what to open it with, direct it to use the toolset. it SHOULD be located in the SAME folder that your dragon age installed to, in a folder called Tools.

now, once you've got the designeritems.erf file open in the TS, it will have a list of the items that this mod adds to the game. Right click on the one you want to look at/edit and choose Open or Open Local Copy. Again, tell windows to open it with the toolset, and then just change the item properties to what you want them to be. And then save the file.

Now, once you've saved the file, you need to move it from where you saved it to, to the documents/bioware/dragonage/packages/core/override folder, unless you saved it there directly. ;)

And, one last thing.... the game is kinda dumb. It WILL NOT automatically update the item, if its already been given to the player. So, once you make your changes to it, and then go into the game to check it out, there's about an 85%-90% chance that it's still going to look the same as it did. Just go sell the item to a merchant, and then buy the item back from that merchant, and it SHOULD update the item to the new statistics/properties that you gave it.

You will not have this issue on NEW characters. ;)

[Edit-] I know that this second method reads like it might be a lot of work. Honestly, it's not. And compared to the first method, is a LOT less hassle, and stuff to learn. The hardest part of it is just finding the particular item to edit. Once you get the hang of it, this method should take maybe 2 minutes, TOPS, depending on how fast your system is, and how well it handles the toolset (TS). [/Edit]

Hope this helps, and good luck! :)

Oh, and looking over the things that you wanted to change... there's not a property to increase one particular aspect of the magery. You would only be able to increase the complete spellpower or magery skill.

not just an aspect of it like bloodmagic, or spirit healing, etc. sorry about that :(

Edit- Correction: Yeah, you can increase just blood magic. Sorry about that. But its the only one that I see in the toolset that you can add a bonus for. The others, like shapeshifting and whatnot still do not have an attribute to increase them. Thanks for the correction Kaerar

Err aren't there item's that buff just blood magic already?

Just took a look in the toolset. You are right. There IS a property in there for upgrading just blood magic. MUCH THANKS for the correction Kaerar! And sorry about my bad information there on that post!

Thank you very much

Heres the thing: got the toolset and found the erf file, for the war mage amulet the file name is prm000im_warmage.uti,

opened it, but theres a property list tree with numbers and stuff like property ID and property power and it says 10010, 10011... for ID and 2, 4... for power in all properties named from 1 to 5

Dont understand that but i guess maybe creating an item with the desired properties and then using copy and paste should do the trick

The good think is i feel im finally getting somewhere here.. thanks

Awww CRAP. I TOTALLY forgot that once the file is exported out of toolset, the toolset doesnt export it with the drop box that you use when creating the item!

It exports them in that tree format that you're seeing.

Geeze I am REALLY SORRY for forgetting that!!!

Ok, forget about half of what I told you before.

Go ahead and open up that uti file, so that you can have all the filenames that you need. Then go in and create a new item. Give it the EXACT same filenames that the original has, that you're replacing. (You shouldnt need to create a new module for this, I dont think). In creating a new item, you'll have the dropbox option for the parameters that you're wanting to work with, which will make it TONS easier.

Save the file, then move it into your override and test. It SHOULD override the existing item.

And again, I am REALLY sorry for forgetting about that export thing. Its been a loooong time since I tried editing an item that wasnt already in the toolset. But, hopefully... this will be what will get you going.
