I used to script mostly for Oblivion, and self taught myself how to make some pretty neat things.

I figured out activators very fast and used them to make a whole bunch of spells and different things.

 

Then I got into FO3. I have enjoyed the game for a while now and decided to get into scripting.

However I don't even know how to start. The most useful info right now would be telling me how to make

a gun, instead of doing damage, apply a script to a actor similarly to how scripted spell effects work.

 

I tried to do this by copying how the Mezzmotron worked but had no luck.
