Blackout0219
Hey there. I'm running Oblivion and I'm experience what seems to be some kind of micro-stuttering problem - I'm playing on a low end laptop and I reckon it may be the problem, but still I'm hopeful some solution will come up. Specs:CPU - Intel Pentium Dual Core 2.2GhZ (seems to exceed the recommended requirements)GPU - Intel HD 2000 integrated graphics card (The worst part but it supports directX 9.0)RAM - 4GBOS - Windows 7 Home Premium 64Bit - I installed the game on a custom folder created by me to avoid putting it on the programs x86 - I installed Oblivion Mod Manager, as well as OBSE - I am using streamline2.1 as well as Oblivion Stutter Remover - B sides being able to cap my FPS, it doesn't seem to help me at all - Other mods I am using - Unofficial patch, Quest Award Leveler, Low Poly Grass, Quiet Feet, Optimized View Distance. I am not using any graphics overhaul - I am playing on medium settings with FPS ranging from 25 to 65 (if I disable V-synch sometimes I'll get 120 FPS). Here is a brief description of my settings:Texture - MediumResolution - 1024x768 (sometimes I play on 800x600, but no change)View distance - Maxed out (lowering it doesn't seem to change anything, I'll get stuttering on minimal view distance) - I have Distant Buildings, Lands and Trees off Shadows - MinimalWater and water effects/reflections - NormalHDR and Bloom - OffCombat Blood - LowAA and AF - OffV-synch - On (Turning it off raises stuttering)All other view distances are set to default (usually about a 1/3) except character, grass and trees distance that is set to 2/3 (again lowering doesn't make a difference)When stuttering happens:- Mostly inside cities during daytime, and happens more often when I'm around NPC's. I also happens when I'm riding horses, but not as much since I installed the low footsteps. It may happen from time to time outside cities but it is more rare. Even during combat it never stutters or lags- Being on 3rd person view seems to trigger a massive stuttering a lot worse than when I'm on First person view (I don't know why) but even on 1st Person View the stuttering is annoying- Weirdly, the more time I play in a row (about one hour or so) seems to decrease a little the stuttering involved- Nothing I tried seems to work, at most I will get more FPS it seems to be high enough to not stutter or lag - I've had games running on less FPS and never had any frame skip problemsI tried:Editing the ini file (I disabled music, lowered the sound, increased cell buffering since I have 4GB RAM)Using streamline (from the lowest to the highest variation)Oblivion Stutter Remover - It reduces a little of stutter but not much.Using optimized view distance mod - This is not helpful since I have few stuttering on the outsideLow footsteps mod - It helps a little but again not much. On the inside the game runs just fine, as well as inside caves and forts, even when fighting a lot of enemies I know my graphics card is not supported, but I'd really appreciate any tip. Morrowind, curiously, runs even worse than Oblivion, but that is something I'll discuss on another thread. Thanks in advance for any advice and having the time and patience to read my little issue. Can someone tell me how do I post a video of my problem? I recorded it but I have no way of posting a URL - I don't have a facebook, twitter or instagram (Nor am I interested), I don't have a youtube account and I certainly won't create a Vimeo account just for it. Any tips? Edited November 7, 2014 by Blackout0219
