Thanks and enjoy, farrp :::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::-Here's a copy of the readme- Mod: Weapon Compilation Mod BETA 1Authors: FarrpVersion of MW: TirbunalSize: 20MB compressed (about 50MB un-compressed)Date: 9-18-03 Special Thanks:Thanks to all the talented weapon modelers and texture artist that made this mod possible. The credit for this mod SHOULD be given to you guys for all your hard work (no particular order):FidelVlixProudfootLadyEKmer2495DrendalAdulSnapcaseIggyThanosSoulShadeWave_ExistenceXanthros and anyone else that I somehow forgot to mention above (please let me know so that I can add you to the list) --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------BETA RELEASE INFO-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This release is just a BETA RELEASE!!I'm sure there are issues that need to be balanced out and/or bugs that need to be fixed in this mod. That's why I'm releasing a public beta so I can flesh out all the issues before I release the first REAL version. If you are interested in helping make this mod a great one then help me balance things such as: -- Min/Max damage for the weapons-- Prices-- Enchantment amounts-- Drop rates-- Weapon Names-- Scripted legendary weapons-- Recharge times and spell effects for the legendary weapon-- ect, ect. I feel I've done a pretty good job with balancing these items and getting them to work properly but it helps perfect the process when you get detailed feedback. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Mod Description--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- What this mod is and does:This mod adds 130+ (community made) weapon meshes into MW's leveled loot lists. There are 2-8 variants of each weapon mesh totaling about 500 new weapon IDs. These weapons are VERY balanced and add a lot of variety to MW. Most of the weapons are non-enchanted weapons and they stick to the iron/steel/silver/dwemer weapon types that MW has set in place. There are some useful enchanted weapons that can be found. There are also some unique weapons that can be found and are noted by the '*' charater - these are legendary weapons (read below to find out more about Legendary Weapons). You'll know when you find one. What I intended to do with this mod from the start:1. Make a mod that adds many of the great looking weapons that the community has created to MW leveled lists.2. Make these weapons ONLY available by searching for them in crates, barrels, and boxes. I didn't want any of these weapons to be purchasable.3. Price the weapons MUCH lower than they're worth to prevent people from carrying a full load of weapons back to a trader, thus making 'easy money'.4. Make several varients of each weapon mesh to add more variety to the new weapons.5. Make a few enchanted weapons that are useful but not overpowerful.6. Make legendary weapons that have unique abilities while keeping them balanced.7. Add leveled weapon lists to 100+ random NPCs so that it'll appear that the NPCs are using the new weapons that are available. 8. Make this mod compatible with ALL other mods (as long as the player uses the LeveledList Merging Tool). I think I've accomplished most, if not all, of these things. Legendary Weapons:Legendary Weapons (noted by the '*' character in front of their name) are weapons with special abilities that you can activate while the weapon is equipped and while the weapon in drawn. To activate one, just hold down the sneak button for a couple seconds. Each Legendary Weapon has a 'charge timer' which represents the number of seconds you have to wait before you can activate the weapon again. Once the weapon is activated you'll see the true power of the weapon but it'll only last for a few seconds (the time varies depending on the weapon). There are 3 differant types of legendary weapons, but 54 of them in all (view the SPOILERS.txt file for more info). Here's what the 3 types are: 1. Spell effects - these types of legendary weapons will add spell effects (or perks) to your character when activated. The effects usually last for 30-120 seconds. NOTE: If you unequip the weapon while it's activated the spell effects will be removed. 2. Weapon swap - these types of legendary weapons will add enchantments to your weapon, make the weapon do more damage, or make it's attack speed higher when it's activated. These effects only last for a short amount of time (usually only 8-20 seconds). NOTE: If you unequip this weapon while it's activated the orignal (unenchanted) weapon will return to your hands. This is to keep people from stock-pilling activated weapons. 3. Summon creatures - these types of legendary weapons will summon creatures, based on your cunjuration skill, when the weapon is activated. You don't have to wait for these weapons to re-charge in order to use them over and over. This is how they work - Hold the sneak key while the weapon is equipped to activate the weapon >> If you have enough magicka you'll successfully summon whatever creature that weapon summons >> Each summoned creature will slowly drain magicka per second while in play >> If you run out of magicka, or unequip the weapon, the summoned creatures will be destroyed and will no longer drain your magicka >> You can unsummon the creatures by holding the sneak key down again for a couple seconds. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Installation------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Drop all Meshes into the MW/data files/Meshes folderDrop all Textures into the MW/data files/Textures folderDrop all Icons into the MW/data files/Icons folderDrop all Sound into the MW/data files/Sounds folderDrop the ESP that you want to use into the Data Files folder and select from the Plug-In selector. Which ESP to I use??There will be 2 ESPs to choose from. Some people just want a weapon compilation mod with no thrills, others will try out and enjoy the legendary weapons. So there one ESP that just adds weapons to leveled lists and there will be another ESP that adds weapons to leveled lists and also adds scripted legendary weapons. -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Additional Info----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Changing the Drop Rates:will be explained in the next release... Changees to ORIGINAL MW stuff:Nothing except the leveled lists of course. Make sure you use Horatio's Leveled List Merging Tool with this mod. Known bugs:There are no known bugs at this time. Campatibility Issues:There shouldn't be very many mods that conflict with this one if you use Horatio's Leveled List Merging tool. One mod that you'll have to test out on your own would be Combat Moves by GhanBuiBhan. Both mods use the sneak key to activate scripts. This mod might, or it might not, conflict with Combat Moves. As of now it is un-tested.
