I want to download some more mods, but I am facing a problem. I can't save the mod file things anymore. When I download a mod, it doesn't give me a choice to save the mod or open the mod, it just automatically chooses open. How can I fix this problem? Help would be appreciated.

I presume you are talking about browser downloads. Mentioning which browser you use would be of immense help.

You have told your browser to 'Always run with this type of file' in it's default settings. You will need to go in and change it back to 'Always ask what to do with this type of file'. The way to do this will vary depending on your browser.

Ok, then please Copy and Paste everything BETWEEN lines into Notepad. Note that everything between [ and ] is ONE LINE ONLY.

Now, make sure Internet Explorer is closed and save the file in notepad as IEDLChoice.reg -- the .reg is important, do not save it as a .txt file.

 

Double click on the saved .reg file and answer Yes when asked if you want to merge it into the registry.

 

That should fix things.
