M.B. You must be a Democrat! Command codes are just a spin on cheat codes! We who understand the difference refer to that as fibbing.

As for the pack Guar, now there is an item worth finding. Does it require adding to the game or is it in the original? IF in the original, where??? If not, then I guess I will go back to the construction set and make one!!!

OK, I went to the construction set and found the Pack Guar. It looks like exactly what I want. But there is one difficulty. I can add one to the game next to the hovel that I built for myself, but how do I get it to follow me? I looked at the AI options and "follower" was one of the options. However to activate that option, I had to tell it who to follow.

There fore the question is: How do I designate the principle character? I want the Guar to follow me (Wolron the Nord). But I do not know how to say that. When I try to, it says there is no such item defined. I hope there is some generic name that will result in the Pack Guar following me. Is there?

Ok, the one in the construction set is just a model, a new skin for the guar. The "pack guars" don't actually have that function yet, they just walk around with stuff on their back. The item sharing that makes a pack guar requires scripting. I'd look at the pack rats from tribunal (if you have it) then copy the sharing feature to a new creature you make, using the base model of the pack guar. Not sure about the follow AI though, but I'd suggest the same... look at some characters that already have it and copy what you need.

And yes, the ones mentioned by Marxist ßastard are mods for the game, download them and follow the directions to use it.

I found a mod that Svenn built that provides a Pack Guar retailer in Balmora. I now have a Pack Guar following me around. He is nice, but tends to get hung up on passing NPCs or sometimes just on rocks. I am spending quite a bit of valuable Quest time trying to coax him around obstacles. Oh well, I guess this is nothing new. Pets can be a pain at times.
