ub3rman123
Erm, did you hit the button to attach the file to the post?
zprospero
I think he meant he was hoping for a .blend file.
ub3rman123
Well, I can do that.
ub3rman123
Okay, well, I seem to have found the solution myself. While ctrl-n didn't work, apparently ctrl-shift-n works. Maybe my ctrl key is broken or something. Here's some shots of it nice and textured. Next thing to do is normal maps! Want anything on it to glow? I'm making that jewel in the cross glossy as well as the blade.http://i1023.photobucket.com/albums/af356/ub3rman123/SwordPic2.jpg?t=1281884286http://i1023.photobucket.com/albums/af356/ub3rman123/Swordpic1.jpg?t=1281884286http://i1023.photobucket.com/albums/af356/ub3rman123/SwordPic3.jpg?t=1281884286
kieranfoy
Oh, my gods... that is so awe-inspiring, I just... wow. No, no glowing, just some flames maybe... That... man. Oh, and I think Alonso might have left the Nexus. He was seeming sort of fed up with things.
alonsomartinez
Kinda fed up and ctrl shift n recalculates normals inside and I was taught that you should recalculate normals outside It might cause problems with darkness and all
ub3rman123
Well, now the normal maps are a bit odd. I'll tinker with it some more. I'll get it right eventually, just have to hit the right buttons. Good news: I managed to set it on fire. Looks sweet that way.
alonsomartinez
How did you set it on fire ? ANd I just tried recalclualting inside on one of my models and it did make the texture look bad
ub3rman123
That might be the problem. It seem to be messing up in reflections. As in it being unnaturally dark. As for the fire, I just copied and pasted the animated model onto the model in NifSkope. I didn't check it in game, but it should work if I do the pasting through Blender. Xeivous
Just so you know, I would love to have an evil version of that sword... The gold parts silver the gem a dark green and the blade a lot darker... But Kieran's request, he goes first...
