RobynGraves
I really have no Idea what I did wrong. I was editing a race mod that I had created. The mod itself had worked just fine before I did the edit. The only thing I edited was some of the text in the race description. I went to go add some more Data, i.e. File/Data in the construction set, I never changed the active file. CS asked me if I wanted to save my active file, I clicked yes, which I found kindof odd since I had already saved it before going into the data screen. I couldn't get out of the data screen so I hit cancel on the save and cancel on the data. Now for some reason, I can't pull the Data file up in CS anymore and It shows as an invalid file in the data files menue when opening oblivion. This has happened once before and I had to compleetely re-do the mod, which needless to say I don't want to do because I spent a lot of time on it and already created a character with it. http://www.tesnexus.com/imageshare/images/1755411-1281338944.png
Hickory
If you want to save your edits, you have to save before you select other esm/esps (File/Data). Cancelling out during a save is most likely what correpted your esp. But you made a backup of your race mod before you started editing, didn't you? RobynGraves
That's the thing, I saved it BEFORE I went to add more data. And no, of course I didn't backup. Why? because apparently I haven't learned my lesson yet. I have backups for everyother mod I downloaded and the origional, unmodded data file, just not the one I was working on. Ok so there is no saving it I just have to re-make the mod. Ugh. It's not hard to do since the .dds files weren't whiped out or anything, just kinda annoying. Thanks for the help.
