ub3rman123
I'm getting to the point in my dungeon where the boss needs to be made, and a retextured daedroth won't cut it for me this time. It's supposed the be an Avatar of Molag Bal. Anyone have a recommendation for an already-made mesh for such a creature? I've looked on TESNexus myself but haven't had much luck. Yamcakes
Molog Bal, eh? Maybe you ought to go with an Orc NPC. Use a alternate skeleton (ie: Tank from skeletal variations) http://tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=29853 And a seperate set of animations.I spend hours upon hours modifying NPC's and bosses to have different fighting styles, by making different folders, with animations compiled from different animation replacers mods, and skeletons from the above mentioned mod, to really give my game a diverse feel.It may not be your cup of tea, but Ithink you could give it a more personal touch this way, rather than retexturing a monster. ub3rman123
Well, I'm trying for a Mehrunes Dagon-like battle (Really big enemy, but hopefully it will be able to walk. For using an NPC rather than a creature, does it allow more flexibility than say, importing animations from other creatures? It'd be interesting to see if it's possible to use Dagon's animations. I know how to move the sound, though. I'll just need to create a custom footstep for the thing.
Yamcakes
You can always give it a test in the CS. You may have to pick and choose animations. I use spriggan animations on NPC's, but some stretch and contort it in a strange way, so I have to be select.
ub3rman123
I suspect the xivilai animations should work well for the purpose, as I've done similar before. What kinds of problems can I expect there to be from making a human Dagon sized? There's always problems. Edit: I've found this mod.. The Azazael CM Partner by Divine Avenger, and it fits the part, but that 3 mile long credits list scares me.http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/images/15351-2-1203191997.jpg
Yamcakes
Well, there's a limit to the size an NPC can be, ultimately you'll need to bypass that with an increased skeleton size. Also, wow. It looks rather clustered. xD
ub3rman123
Well, I've decided to go with an NPC. Anyone have a suggestion for some armor to use with it to give it that Dagon-y look? Hitboxes shouldn't be a problem; you shouldn't be able to hurt the giant ones anyways.
Yamcakes
Well from what I remember, he's dressed somewhat like a Xivilai. Slof's Playable Xivilai has a lovely kilt and collar. There are also some nice sheep-horns in the Romuska Fantasy Store.
ub3rman123
I mean, not exactly like Dagon. If possible, I'd prefer it to look unique apart from Dagon. I'll look into Slof's stuff though, it might sort of fit the evil look, although I've not seen anything saying one can reuse things from the mods.
