Grr...planet elder scrolls

I've been doing a mage's guild playthrough recently and have been trying to find mods
to expand on the limited number (or to simply make it "drag") of quests so that I'm not
suddenly becoming the arch-mage of Vvardenfell just by doing a few pick some flowers
quests and whack this guy, take his place. I'm currently rank:Wizard and Skink still has
two quests for me but that's hardly enough for my liking. I've been looking for some other
Dwemer ruins to explore but none of them thus far are more than a few rooms with
overpowered enemies, unlike Skyrim.

My main question was that I had found mods that interest me but most are linked to
Planet Elder Scrolls. Gamespy or something however, this site is no longer functional....

I'm looking for at the moment Ald Indoril by Ottar + Alchemy Workroom by GUILDmaster

And does anyone know a reason why this site was just taken down and not archived?!! :wallbash:

The entire gamespy "planet" nework's being dissolved by IGN - you either pack up your stuff and move off with what you can before they get to you, or you lose it.

They did archive the mod database, they started that before they went and pulled the plug on the PES forums a while back (with very little heads up to the people running them I might add) - but the archived files are not for public use - last I heard (which was a long time back) was they were looking for sell off the database archives. Don't know if that's still the plan, or if they've just given up on the thing completely.

So in all likelihood, anything only hosted there - is gone.

They're also hosted here:

http://mw.modhistory.com/download-1-9555

Use the "download" button, not the "mirror" links.

Well, that was pretty incompetent of them, if you don't mind me saying. lol Regardless, I'm curious to know how much a price they'd be

giving it away for, if they ever do. Thank you both for that information, and I'll be bookmarking that other website for future reference....

No not everything is gone and AFAIK all mods are now preserved on MMH, but only those mods that had allow redistribution permission has always been available since Fliggerty step in and saved most mods on PES over 2 years ago.

I know because I was a Steward in MMH staff back then and I'm also a former Senior Curator for MMH.

Which just goes to prove that once you upload a mod for mass download your lose all rights to anything in that mod even if the textures and meshes were created by yourself. The act of uploading gives away all the rights that modders thinks they have... which in actuality is non-existent. Still there will always be some doofus threatening to sue because they lost control over their mods. Their misunderstanding of various open-source licensing laws makes them believe that their work is protected but these types of mods do not fall underneath that umbrella. This has already been decided in international court so there is no point in arguing it unless you are a corporation worth billions of dollars because it would take tens of millions in international lawyer fees to even try to challenge it

Morrowind mods on planet elder scrolls; You can also go search through the "wayback machine" and copy their entire data base if you have the time.

Yes you did a great job when you held the position and you continue to be a MW force. The problem with MMH is that one day when fliggerty closes shop that whole database will be gone again. The fact that IGN was unable to sell their database kinda tells me that MMH will someday share the same fate. Fliggerty's websites do not seem to be profitable enough to sell (although admittedly I have no knowledge of the financial status but just from the lack of activity in GHF and all the other smaller websites that he hosts, I am making an educated guess that he swallows the operating cost himself) so what we really need is another place (a profitable business website) to host all these mods.

Citation needed.

Ha! Do your own homework or pay to get it done.

Nope. It's up to the one making the extraordinary claim to provide the extraordinary evidence, or else I'm justified in calling it BS. I can just as easily say "By making a mod, I legally own the whole game that runs it. This was proven in international courts. Don't believe me? Ha! Do your own homework."
