VileTouch
ok, so yesterday i installed a few mods: vault 22 flora overhaul, companion radio, alexscorpion's night vision and casino unbanner. and to my surprise, upon loading the current save...oops, screen fades to black and my character starts barfing...err... alright, i said, but then it happened again and again non stop!. so i thought, hey, there must be a bug somewhere, so i fire up fnvedit and sure enough, vault 22 mod has a new scripted "infection" effect so i disabled it right away until i figure things out. load up the game again...oops, barfception all over again... fine, i disable ALL of the new mods, rebuild the bashed patch and load the game...uh oh... my char still has the pukes! i have no new perks, radiation, poison or anything. i would try to make it to the mormon fort or the goodsprings doc to cure any possible addiction, but wouldn't that show up on the stats? besides, with the screen fading to black every 2 seconds, i can't really make it out of the hideout safely. any thoughts? ....help? i've alredy done a quick lookup, and the closest thing i found is npcs barfing (caused by eve apparently) but my npcs are fine and i got rid of eve a long time ago. so i'm out of options atm. luthienanarion
That's not your character vomiting, actually... That's an old issue caused by plugins that are older than the game's 1.3 patch, which foolishly changed some of the FormIDs in FalloutNV.esm. No plugin created before that patch should ever be used. No plugin created before that patch should ever be used.indeed, earlier today, while examining the scripts in alexcorpion's night vision i noticed A LOT of really odd changes to seemingly random scripts. this answers the question. the mod is old and dirty...too bad. the reason i kept seeing it after the mods were gone is because "something" in that mess forced an autosave right after loading, even though i have it disabled (figures!)... anyway... thank you very much for the answers, now i'm off to find a working "NV goggles" mod...and something better than companion radio as well xD
