To BBB or not to BBB

- is really not the question. Because why wouldn't you? :)

I just recently reinstalled Oblivion after an extended hiatus and thought I'd step up the gaming experience by adding some of Saaya's brilliant bbb-adaptions.

It has given me some headaches though, because I can't get it to work. Reading through all the BBB-related posts here in the Mod Troubleshooting section has revealed no apparent solution.

Currently I have Oblivion + Shivering Isles + Knights of the Nine + patch 1.2.416 installed (the GotY), and -nothing- else (for ease of troubleshooting).

The only alterations so far done to the game is adding Saaya's "BBB for BBB" (-> BBB_for_Double_Melons) and "Coronerras Maximum Compability Skeletons".

This means that my ../data/meshes/characters/_male folder now looks like this:

femalefoot.nif

femalehand.nif

femalelowerbody.nif

femaleupperbody.nif

skeleton.nif

skeletonbeast.nif

And my ../data/meshes/characters/_1stperson folder looks like this:

skeleton.nif

No textures have been added as of yet, but I'm going to install Ozmo's "High Rez Skin Textures for HGEC" later.

While I certainly see the modification to the body, there's absolutely no bouncing going on.

So far I have tried:

Archive invalidation (redirection) through the OBMM.

Resetting BSA timestamps through the OBMM.

Adding Saaya's latest "DMRA_Extra_Weighting", and then record character movement with FRAPS so I could slow down the movement to better detect even ever-so-slight bouncing.

And as mentioned initially: trawled the "Mod Troubleshooting" forum, but sadly found no solution.

- I may add I am playing on a Win XP-system, and I'm playing a hard copy/non-steam version of the game.

- I may also add that the "lack of bouncing" occurs for all movements (eg. running/walking forwards/backwards, strafing, jumping)

It's like Coronnera's skeleton is not recognized or somehow overwritten (but I'm merely speculating of course).

Does somebody have a hint or tip to share? :)

Thanks in advance. And even if no solution is found, you guys still rock!

/L
