grannywils Posted September 11, 2010 Share Posted September 11, 2010 1 - The soup is almost done, and it smells wonderful!. It is a recipe I've never tried before. Some friends gave us a bunch of fresh home grown vegetables. So the soup has fresh zucchini, onions, carrots, beet greens and potatos (sorry, potatos are store-bought). Then I added some cooked cubed chicken and sliced smoked sausage. Seasoning is cumin, oregano and black pepper. Liquid is chicken broth and some tomato sauce. It is quite a savory smelling soup and very hearty. Gary doesn't really like soup, so I usually make it more like a stew. I just made some drop biscuits to put in the bottom of the bowl, so now I have to go and get it ready. See you later. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
