AshRabbit
Hello I'm a new member on the forums and I decided to try making my own weapon mods for Elder Scrolls 4. However I've run into a problem involving importing .nif files in blender that a good majority probably know how to solve this. I followed the instructions on how to installing NIF scripts over here on this link: http://www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/mods/12248/? When I went to look to see if Blender can import .nif files the option wasn't there. If there's a topic that has the answer to this problem then it would be nice to see it. Legotrash
I can't really tell what went wrong but give it a try with the 2.5.9 version . This is the one I currently have installed.
LFact
If you feel that you can't make it work, there's portable package which includes NifScripts and other necessities.
AshRabbit
To Legotrash: I thought only Blender 2.49b was the only acceptable version? To LFact: I looked at what was in the package and it contained a version of python (2.6.6) and that version doesn't want to work with me. However, I do have version 2.6.0 and my computer did have an issue with it. So I was wondering if having version 2.6.0 will still be ok with the package that you suggested? Legotrash
Oppsie,I forgot to actually tell you what I linked there! :D It's the 2.5.9 version of nif scripts. Give it a try if you haven't already.
LFact
Python in portable package does not leave any trace in your computer(if the package is properly made), and it is not affected by other version you installed. Regardless of what version of python you installed, portable blender will work with package-contained ones.
