RuinsFate
During my last playthrough of Skyrim. I ran across this little Dwemer tower out in the middle of nowhere: http://uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Reachwind_Eyrie. I really liked it, and thought it'd be a fun thing to make a player house out of. I like small, cozy houses without huge amounts of space and excessive features. Thinking making a similar tower with some furniture inside to make it a player house - some dwemer, some more conventional stuff dragged in to make it more cozy. (Think say, a decent bed, some furs on the stone floor for warmth, dwemer cupboards and chests, a small wooden lean-to built on one outside wall for... I dunno, a horse stable or a smelter or something. Basically the tower was found by someone, spruced up a bit, but something happened to them and now it's your's) I believe there's a tutorial with the CK for cell building? (Don't currently have Skyrim or the CK installed to check) Are there any for making a house? How hard is it to set things like making sure it's owned properly and the chest don't respawn 'n stuff? Idly, also wondering if people like the idea?
Kraeten
Building a player home is pretty easy. There are a couple different video tutorials on youtube to help out a newcomer too. Here's one for example. Exterior wise, there are a couple player homes available already which use that same model. All of these however tend to have huge interiors, so yours would stand apart if you go for small and cozy instead. If you'd rather not make the abode yourself, Barad Mithost is fairly close to what you have in mind.

Tamira
Work through the CK Basic lessons on TES Alliance (you don't need to join the classes there, you can do it privately): http://tesalliance.org/forums/index.php?/forum/114-creation-kit-basics/ When you are done, you have a solid knowledge how to build a house (and more)
