Armor mods make me go "Bye bye"

When I download a(n) Spartan/Greek Hero Armor mod (Might be all armor mods) The armor piece makes that body part disappear. Could someone please help me? :wallbash:

When you put on a piece of armor and that body part disappears, that almost always means you are missing the mesh that goes along with it. A missing texture can sometimes do something similar instead of just turning something pink, but usually it is a missing mesh, or both.

 

This means there is something from the download that you did not copy to the correct location in the data folder. Oblivion is VERY picky about what goes where, so you need to get all the folder paths exact.

 

Typically a mod will have a "Data" folder, or subfolders for Meshes and Textures. By far the easiest thing to do is copy the data folder from the mod, right click on your main Oblivion folder, and click "Paste". You will get warning messages, but modern Windows computers will merge the contents. You won't lose anything.

 

If there are individual Meshes and Textures folders, select them both, then right click on your Data folder and Paste.
