JaBaRouke
I have played as an Imperial and as a Stormcloak. Now I would like to go through as neutral. I also am not interested in joining either army or presuring any war play. I exited Helgen with Hadvar. I would like to be seen in Riften and Windhelm as someone who could be a Thane. These two mods have been posted for Windhelm:Neutral Hijerim: Which I have used in the past and seems to work Neutral Thane of Windhelm: Which I have not tried but from the comments is not reliable. Nothing for Riften. I was not offer a Thane by the Jarl after completing both Skoma related quest.
avallanche
Riften is neutral... if you already completed the skooma quest and helped 3 people you should be able to buy the house and earn the title.PS: But in riften you have to help the 3 people before receive the title. ToppDog
I played as neutral also, which seems to work out just fine without any mods. The CW does not progress & is basically just background conversations, since you aren't doing any of the quests. It's more like a cold war :) I mainly did this because there is nothing to persuade me to join either side. If Windhelm is an example of how the Stormcloaks run things, then I'm not interested in helping them gain power, & since all the Imperials seem to like doing is chopping people's heads off, I'm not really interested in helping them either. It would have been a good idea if the player could start a grass roots effort to defeat both sides & start a new government. Plus, the Jarl of Whiterun was nothing but appreciative of your efforts to help with the dragon, so I felt no reason to eventually have to take over Dragonsreach. sammybox
You can already play neutral without mods, as stated above. This would be an immersion mod more than anything however.
JaBaRouke
Thanks I did not recall the Thane progression in Riften. I do beleive you need the Neutral Hijerim if want Hijerim after exited Helgen with Hadvar.
