rynosaur
I am experiencing a CTD on the first slide of the intro, and I have even deactivated ALL mods and it still does this. I have a brand new computer, and want to know why this is happening! Here's my load order, but that probably won't help... JimboUK
Try renaming your Fallout.ini to Fallout.ini.bak, the one in Documents\My Games\Fallout3 (not the one in the games install folder), the game will create a new one, you'll have to redo your settings if it works. If it doesn't work then you can just revert by removing the .bak.
rynosaur
Yeah tried that, no bannanas... May help to note that i'm running Win 7 from the default folders, and that I'm using FOSE, and the GOTY edition.

May help to note that i'm running Win 7 from the default folders, and that I'm using FOSE, and the GOTY edition. That won't help, best to install it away from your programs folder. Have you tried removing FOSE and see what happens?

JimboUK
A fresh install with no mods? I'm wondering if there is a problem with that disk? Have you updated your display drivers, DirectX, sound and all that?
