marat569
With Google chrome + Adblock I have yet to see this snake. As far as I know, Firefox's adblock doesn't block as much as chrome's (I don't know why, it's just what I've seen throughout my experiences) Extension that I use:https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/adblock/gighmmpiobklfepjocnamgkkbiglidomOrhttps://getadblock.com/ Both are the same! I've seen ads that firefox's adblock pro (The first addon when you click adblock) does not block, but chrome's does. I thought they were the same for a while, but they're not. Update: Some important information found here! ( https://getadblock.com/adblock-is-not-adblock-plus ) AdBlock is not Adblock PlusDespite having similar names, AdBlock and Adblock Plus are separate, competing pieces of software.Adblock Plus has been criticized for accepting payment from large companies who wish to have their ads unblocked. This fact is confirmed by Adblock Plus's own FAQ, although they state it in positive terms. Adblock Plus users who want to block all ads must explicitly choose to block the ads that ABP has unblocked on their behalf. In contrast, AdBlock blocks ads based solely on user choice. It is 100% user-supported, so its incentives are aligned with those of its users. Why are the names so similar?Long ago, there was a Firefox add-on called Adblock. Later, a different group created a different Firefox add-on and adopted the name Adblock Plus. When Google Chrome came along, Michael Gundlach saw that there was no “AdBlock” extension for it and that the Adblock Plus team said they wouldn’t make one.So Michael made AdBlock for Chrome, which went on to become the most popular Chrome extension.Since then, Adblock Plus (now run by the company Eyeo) has changed its mind and made a Chrome extension, too, and AdBlock (now run by Betafish, Inc) has expanded to also work in Safari and Opera.Yes, it's confusing. But the bottom line is that despite having similar names, these projects are unrelated. According to getadblock's website (The chrome extension), it's only for Google Chrome, Safari, and Opera. And if you are too lazy to read the article: Firefox's adblock purposely does not block certain ads (hotfiles being an example) Edited November 29, 2014 by marat569
notmyhome
@Notmyhome - please report those. I'm quite sure I did just that about two to three months ago using the "contact" sheet.
TheVampireDante
Notmyhome: Use the report function and mention why you are reporting - using the "contact us" form means that only Dark0ne sees the message.
