Tools or tips to help install mods easier/properly?

Hello everyone,

I have been "modding" for a few years now, and I use the term "modding" in the sense of being the equivalent of being Peter Griffin carrying a gun not knowing what a safety is. Needless to say last night I shot myself in the foot. I'm was attempting to solve a few (one major and a handful of minor) problems on my own using FNVEdit and I ended up corrupting to many files to count(also not knowing which files were corrupted was a problem). So I decided it was probably in my best interest to wipe the slate clean. So last night I spent a few hours uninstalling, deleting and redownloading my entire mod list.

So lets get to the point. I have over 100 mods sitting in my NMM and I was wondering if there are any tools or tips to help me determine the best(safest?) order to install them in? or does it not matter since i "use" Loot and FNVEdit?

Thanks In advance and I hope everyone who has taken the time to read this has a wonderful day!

Any mods that have a specific order they need to be installed in, will mention that in the readme. For the most part, it really only matters with mods that "do the same thing"... Like texture mods, that may change textures on the same objects. The one installed LAST, wins. I think NMM will warn you about overwrites though, won't it?? (I don't use it, so, don't have a clue. :) )

Are you using a tool to combine leveled lists? (Wrye Bash?) If not, then you need to. (And I think WB does a better job than FNVEdit.... but, not 100% on that.)

Hope your day goes well too. :D
