FOSE Question

I need to edit hotkeys that require FOSE to be active, problem is, i need to edit these hotkeys within FWE's Alternative start room, in which FOSE is not active. does anyone have an idea how to fix this?

All i want is to be able to have FWE's settings fully configured before i pick an alternative start

Why isn't FOSE active?

Additional information would be necessary before anyone could help you.

How do you know FOSE is not active?

Are you using a mod manager?

Do you have FOSE installed correctly?

How did you install FOSE?

Are you launching the game with FOSE?

  • 2 weeks later...

for some reason my fose launcher will launch the game but will not work with mods like the type 3 body mod and it is just the vanilla body?

FOSE has no effect on the Type 3 or anyother body mod. If the meshes and textures are installed properly and if Archive Invalidation has been turned off and then on again, the mod will show in the game. If you do not use a mod manager, you will have to download and install the standalone version of ArchiveInvalidation Invalidated!. This is noted on the Type 3 mod page.

I have an issue that is making me pretty frustrated I installed a whole bunch of mods (FOWE included) and it needed FOSE so I downloaded it and installed it manually (.dll and launcher.exe into FO3 directory and such) and in FOMM it says Launch FOSE instead of Launch Fallout 3 so I assumed it had worked but when I click launch FOSE FOMM closes, a blank black command prompt appears and disappears for a second and then nothing happens. FO3 just doesn't launch. So what is the problem? Do I need to Launch FOSE and then launch FO3 through my steam or something?
