daftshadow
Hey guys, I'm new to this modding but been playing around with the tools and got a little bit familiar with them. I've managed to use nifskope to edit the mesh file and remove parts on an armor piece that I didn't want but the part I'm having difficulty with is how to make an armor from outfit to single pieces? For example, I want to only take the chest piece of the armor but make it so that my character can wear this chest piece with pants from another armor. Basically mix and matching armor. Like I mentioned before, I was able to remove everything from the armor outfit except, leaving only the chest piece. Saved it, started the game and only the chest piece shows but when I try to wear pants, the chest piece gets unequipped. I'm pretty sure this happens is because the chest piece is still identified as an outfit and not a single piece of armor like the pants. How can I get around this? Tubal
You can only have one piece of clothing/armour per clothing slot. You probably have the chestpiece set to occupy the upper body, which most outfits in the game do. Change it to something else suitable in the Geck. I did see this option in Geck and it was set to upper body. I'll try it out.
rfcampbell2
Hi, I've been playing FO3 for quite a while now & have DL'd a lot of mods, particularly clothing/armor to change the look of the game. So far some of my favs are Ling's Finer Things, Type3_ belts_ boots, Seperate Clothing - Wearable Gloves I'd like to start doing some mods myself, but so far my efforts have been less than sucessfull. Could you post a tut of your process or a link that shows how clothing could be broken apart to individual pieces to create a mix & match for PC's and/or NPC's Thanks.
