I said I prefer other games, but WoW and the Battlefield series have pros and cons.

World of Warcraft:

-Pros: Has a good roleplay element that would make it a revolutionary singleplayer and partial multiplayer game had it been one, it could be like mixing Warcraft 3 with Morrowind or Oblivion and maybe even Diablo 2. The storyline is actually fairly decent as well.

-Cons: To some extent, the fact that it's an MMORPG. People don't really pay attention to the roleplay/storyline aspect and just grind levels and seek "Tier" armor and other meaningless crap. Also some who play it separate themselves from family members and friends; it never happened to me when I played it, but I had a friend tell me about a story of how it has happened with another one of his friends.

Battlefield Series:

-Pros: Has/had the potential to be a good tactical game, which has actually been seen in mods like Project Reality and Forgotten Hope. Overall pretty fun.

-Cons: Could have been much more fun. Unrealistic historically, for example: the Soviets in Battlefield 1942 don't even have any Soviet weapons. Corporatised by EA showing how much they care more about profit then quality.

I've played both and enjoyed them, but I find other games like Oblivion and Fallout 3 much more enjoyable.

IS there an option for 'I used to love and now have a festering hatred of the game'? WoW was like that. It's one of those games that's fun until you type /played and find you've spend 244 days on that character. Not hours, days.

Thus why i play on a server called shadow council, which is rolelay based.

-no stupid names(has to be race sounding names)

-no text talk

-most raiding guilds are casual.

I prefer FPS to any MMOs. Because MMOs are too much of a chore to play, it feels more like work then gaming. And its neither fun nor rewarding for me. I just wanna relax and play a video game that doesn't require me to grind. If they make an MMO that doesn't require grinding, let me know what it is and I might try it. And don't tell me WoW......I know better than that. The least grindy MMO I played was City of Heroes, and I still didn't like it.
