Argomirr
I wanted to update my sig to include some images, but I got this error:[#10210] You are not allowed to use that image extension on this board. Is this just an issue with the board settings, or is there a reason png images are not allowed? [EDIT]For some reason it seems to be working now... [EDIT]Nope, same error. Pronam
Oh wait -revises- mind// Though my twitter.png seems to work.. Maybe it's a wrong extension somehow or bad source, have you tried reuploading it to somewhere else? ----Imageshack never let me done, try that one. Argomirr
I'm trying to get 4 png images into my signature and I just keep getting that error. I tried various things already, gonna try uploading it to some other place now. [EDIT]I think I've figured it out now... A stray backslash lurking somewhere in the image path. [EDIT]Yup, all sorted now. :)
Eiries
Lookin' good! I myself enjoy rounded, square .pngs in my sig as well. Although mine aren't creative links. :teehee:
KDStudios
I always have problems with .png's so I remove the problem by simply saving it as a jpeg instead. As everywhere accepts .jpeg's I just save everything as that anyway.Just a bit of a pain when you take a screenshot of a game (That saves it as a .png) but I use a image converter that converts them all at once so it's not so bad =]
Argomirr
Yeah, but .png's support transparency, and the quality is superior. It works though, I was able to get my sig to show up after all. :)
ub3rman123
Doesn't a .psd work in the same way as a .png?
KDStudios
I don't think the website even uploads .psd's... Then again I've never tried but I doubt it. And yeah I know .png's support transparency but to be honest it all depends on what you want the picture to be like, but I use .jpeg because of its usability with everything. But for more detailed images like yours then you'd use .png and if I did I'd be praying for it to upload haha =P I uploaded a .png before and it came up fine. I guess that stray backlash you had must have been the nasty trouble maker =P
Pronam
PSD are definite photoshop files. They can be opened by just a few programs and probably very few to none sites as .PSD files are more advanced and can contain harmful elements/viruses, they are even larger than bmp so it's not really wise to use them at all than to save for yourself and for modders to share if they want to allow their content to be changed (via filepages). ub3rman123
I think my avatar is a .png file. Yep, it is. So where is the problem with them?
