dennis20014
Hey guys and gals, I will be honest, I'm pretty certain I know the answer to this but I'm wanting to see if anyone has this problem with other variables factored in. I'm having a weird issue where 'hard saving' a game takes like 6-8 seconds. Is this normal? I've uninstalled a number of armor mods I never use and update mods from time to time (checking how to do it of course and if it is safe) and it seems like every time I do, my saves just slowly start taking longer to save. Papyrus Wrapper tool does not list any scripts that are unattached to anything so I'm curious to what it is. I keep my HD defragged with PerfectDisk and use contig often on both my saves folder and skyrim directory. I just assume it's something to do with uninstalling mods or updating them, but I was curious if others have had this problem as their game has progressed naturally. Reynard131
You have save bloat... Look at game save size....
dennis20014
Haha yeah I mean I figured it was something like that, but the save size isn't that big really. Well you know, I don't actually know what a safe size should be? I believe I read one time that @ 600 hours a guys save was 25MB. But he didn't say if he used mods or not all. The particular save I speak of was around 19MB. I can't really confirm the hours at the moment, I think I was level 17 but I do a lot of foot traveling in game as I try to stay hardcore.Starting a new game with the same mods starts around 8MB. So I'm not sure what that tells me. I think I'm going to cut back on some of the scripted things anyway that I never use.
